Couponing 4 a Difference's Contribution to Hurricane Sandy Victims

Couponing 4 a Difference, being located in New Jersey, was fortunate to have escaped any harm caused by Hurricane Sandy. The most we had was two branches hit the house, hardly something to complain about considering we have almost an acre of trees. The power didn't even go out.

Naturally I feel so bad for all the people that were affected by it and being that they are only within 30-45 minutes of my home I feel like I have to do something. And since one of the points of this site is to help others I just wanted to mention what Couponing 4 a Difference is doing.

So far I've contributed two bags of clothes and towels (I am amazed that I have so much stuff in my house that I could produce that much) to the Moms Club of Winslow Township. I also provided a bag full of toiletries, tooth paste, location, deodorant, etc. that I've been stockpiling. I think I got some of that toothpaste for about twenty cents, some I got for free. Now I am glad I took the time to get them.

I feel so saddened for these people and the difficulties that are incurring right now and I don't feel like what I've done is enough. I am hoping that this week (and maybe future weeks to come) to donate my time to a church in Burlington County, NJ that is serving as a shelter. The last I heard they needed help sorting clothes. I plan on calling this Monday to find out what's needed this week. More on that later.
