Before the holidays I was lucky enough to attend the Social Media Moms Mixer (see my review here) presented by Colleen Padilla, founder of Classy Mommy and Whitney Wingerd of Mommies with Style. I was even luckier to win one of the sponor's, Hasbro's®, grand prize! There were only three lucky winners and I was one of them! A few days after the event I caught the UPS guy hauling a box that I would say was about 4 foot tall stuffed with toys! Awesome!
Pluses:
- It's very colorful and was intriguing to my child, Dante. He really wanted to get his hands on it!
- It comes with 4 jars of Play-Doh®.
- The handle and button on it were fairly easy for Dante to work with.
- There are several different activities that kept Dante busy for at least a half an hour (that's quite a feat!) This includes: making gumballs, creating lollipops, pushing out licorice, and making candy from candy molds.
- The toy comes with several accessories to help making the play experience even more fun.
Minuses:
- I was a little uncomfortable with the size of the gumballs. They are kinda small and I was worried Dante would try to eat them but he actually didn't even try.
- Although the set comes with 4 cans of Play-Doh® they are pretty small.
- The "cyclone" part of the machine that makes the gumballs doesn't work so well. It's hard for a little one to load the Play-Doh® and push it down enough for the machine to accept it. Then several times it didn't work. Somehow the Play-Doh when past the "cyclones" which turn to make the gum balls and now the Play-Doh® is just laying at the bottom and I can't get it out.
- Play-Doh® contains wheat.
