13 Fun Activities for Toddlers to Do with Their Daddy in South Jersey on Father's Day

Father's Day is just around the corner and South Jersey offers many free or rather inexpensive ways for little ones to spend time with their daddy. We'll be going to church and then taking it easy during the day followed by a visit from the grandparents for dessert. They are going to be so excited about their personalized drink coasters with Dante's face on them! More about that later.

For now, here are some suggestions on things to do with your little peeps:

1. Visit the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, NJ. Father's get free admission on Father's Day!
2. Take a dip at Sahara Sam's Indoor Water Park in Berlin, NJ. Dad's swim free on Father's Day! Check out my recent review of Sahara Sam's.
3. Catch the view from the top of the Cape May Lighthouse in Cape May, NJ. Again, dad's enter for free on Father's Day with a paid child admission ticket.
4. Feed the geese at the lake at Washington Lake Park, Washington Township, NJ.
5. Enjoy the wildlife and have a picnic at the Cape May County Zoo in Cape May, NJ. This place is adorable and free for everyone year round (donations accepted.)
6. Explore the Discovery Barn and feed the animals at Johnson's Farm in Medford, NJ.
7. Witness elaborate sand sculptures being erected during competitions in Atlantic City (from 6/13 - 6/30/13) near Caesar's. Times vary. Free!
8. Be a contestant in a pie eating contest during the Johnson's Popcorn Fathers Day Family Fun Fest in Ocean City, NJ. Ride a trackless train, enjoy a pony ride and more.
9. Take a spin on the carousel or go for a train ride at the Historic Smithville and the Village Green in Smithville, NJ.
10. Play on the playground equipment at Veteran's Park in Gloucester Township, NJ. They have several play structures, a walking track and port-o-potties just in case!
11.Play miniature golf and learn about the history of Tuckerton at the Tuckerton Seaport Museum in Tuckerton, NJ.
12. Knock down some pins at Brunswick Zone in Turnersville (they have other locations as well). Kids bowl free everyday of the summer. Advanced registration required.
13. Pick strawberries at Conte's Farm in Tabernacle, NJ.

What interesting activities for Father's Day have you discovered?

  1. We live across the water so we might need to take a quick ferry ride over and enjoy some of these great ideas!

  2. That sounds great Carrie! I personally want to get to see the sand sculptures in A.C. although I don't think that is going to happen on Father's Day. Whatever you do - enjoy!
