Busy in South Jersey

Hi gals!

I am sitting at the kitchen table eating my version of the low-point Weight Watchers soup (remind me to give you the recipe. It's so good!) and I realized I haven't written on my blog in so long.

You see, just like the rest of you, my life has been hectic! Life really does get in the way as they say. We're busy in South Jersey to say the least! Fortunately for me, although I don't always handle the stressfulness of our fast paced life very well sometimes, I do recognize that most things in our lives are positive. We are blessed.

Some of you don't even know that I've welcomed a new little love into my life. His name is Ryan Dominic and he was born January 28, 2016. Interesting story about that - I didn't even know I was pregnant for the first 10 weeks despite our efforts to get pregnant.

At this time last year, I was at an Endocronolist appt (I have a thyroid problem) and we had a discussion about one patch of skin that burns like it's on fire and often feels like there knife in it repeatedly stabbing me. No. Not fun. Not the worse thing that ever happen to anyone but still not fun. She brought up Celiac disease and after reading some of the symptoms, which mimic pregnancy, I was convinced I have it and that is why I wasn't feeling well. Turns out I may be Gluten Intolerant but more about that later.

In the midst of all this, I decided to take a pregnancy test even though I just KNEW I couldn't be pregnant. Well I was wrong! I was pregnant!

As you mommas already know, being pregnant is really worth it but it so much work! I was fortunate to have a no-complication pregnancy but did spent much of my time as doctor's appointments and getting tests. In the end, it was worth it. Ryan is completely healthy. He was 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 21" long. And he has dark black hair! My other guy, Dante, was a baldy when he was born so for some reason, I found it extra cute that Ryan had fuzzy stuff on his head when he came out! He's 3 1/2 months already kids! Time flies! Help me!

I know I am his mother, but isn't this kid cute?!

Apparently bringing another human into the house isn't enough for us so we decide to put our house up for sale. We've been thinking about it for a long time because the school system here is far less than it should be. Plus we're looking for new adventures. After 14 months of people traipsing in and out of our house we finally have an offer at the moment.  We're playing the counteroffer game back-and-forth which, by the way, isn't my favorite game!

I am hoping things work out but honestly I am ready to move on. We're considering moving out-of-state (Nashville, TN anyone?!) but for now if the house sells we're going to rent local in New Jersey where we are until we make any decisions about the job.

Whew! What a busy year it's been! And we're looking at more craziness with this move, vacations, and growing babies.

What have you been up to? What does this year hold for you.

By the way, if you have any moving tips let me know. My husband and I have never really moved a whole house. We're in for it!

And of course, if you have any thoughts on living in Nashville comment on that too! I'd love to hear what you think!
