With my recent stay-at-home mom status I realized that if I want to continue to make a difference I am going to have to find alternative ways to help those in the community. Monetary donations will continue to happen, particularly when I make money from this blog, but I am looking for additional ways to help out that won't drain the bank now they we only have one income!
I found Coupons for Community that allows you to clip coupons and mail them to their organization. Through the use of our unwanted coupons they are able to help local food pantries obtain more items to provide to those less fortunate. Many items are not covered by food stamps so these coupons are a big plus.
For my local friends, if you have any coupons just laying around, I'll be glad to take them and clip them for you and include them with the pile I mail in every month. Those not local to NJ, you can visit the Coupons for the Community website to see how you can get involved.
